Tutorial #20: How to create USB head

We can see almost every PC device having USB interface, in fact this USB head I model by my USB mouse connector. Look simple right? Nope.. that what I’ve realize after half way done this tutorial. It’s take 37 pages of 58 steps to complete.. :P

In this solidworks tutorial you will learn extrude boss/base, extruded cut, linear pattern and circular pattern. The best part is it’s free! You can share with your friends and I encourage you to!

Hi I wonder if anybody can help mw with this tutorial.

I’m new to SolidWorks so I don’t know that much at the mo! When I ‘extrude cut’ (part no. 25 of the tutorial) the extrude goes upwards but how do I make it go downwards into the solid?

    Kind regards,

    Bob

Nice tutorial but I have no idea when I reach part 51, I can’t make sense of it now.

The tutorial says: Click on smart dimension and dimension distance between rectangle edge to cross centreline to be as 0.03”

    I don’t understand this part 

    Any help would be great.

    Kind regards,
    Bob
